-
Your filters create more pages than Google wants to read
Every combination of colour, size and brand can get its own URL in Shopware. Google spends its time on these pages, and your important categories get shortchanged.
-
Your variants steal each other’s rankings
Red, blue, size 42 or 43: variants in Shopware often get their own pages with almost identical copy. Google cannot tell which one to show.
-
Your experience worlds look great, but Google barely reads any text
Large images, sliders, few words: category pages built from experience worlds often look beautiful but are nearly empty for Google and ChatGPT. Heavy images slow down load time on mobile too.
-
You want to move to Shopware 6 without losing rankings
A migration often changes every URL. Without redirects, buyers and Google land on error pages.

That is exactly what the free SEO & GEO audit is for.
How we solve it
- Your filters create more pages than Google wants to read Filter pages stay indexed only where people actually search for them. The rest stays invisible to Google.
- Your variants steal each other’s rankings Clear rules for which variant ranks: a canonical pointing to the main page, separate copy only where there is real search demand for it.
- Your experience worlds look great, but Google barely reads any text Category copy for buying-intent searches and faster images, without wrecking your design.
- You want to move to Shopware 6 without losing rankings We handle the migration: matching old and new URLs, checking redirects, measuring rankings before and after.

Honest from the start
We're not for everyone.
That's why we check before we start whether SEO and GEO will pay off for you. And we tell you if they won't.
We're a good fit if …
Then the free SEO & GEO audit is worth your time.
- You want enquiries and revenue, not just rankings. We measure success in bookings, orders and ROI.
- People are searching for what you offer. On Google or in ChatGPT, and right now those enquiries go to your competitors.
- You're planning for at least six months. That's how long it takes for SEO to pay off. Many clients then stay for years.
- You have a budget and a plan to grow. For example as an SME, online shop, SaaS company or healthcare provider.
We're not a good fit if …
Then we'll tell you so in the very first call.
- Rankings and clicks are enough for you. You don't need us for that. We count enquiries and revenue.
- Hardly anyone searches in your market. Then SEO won't do much, and we'll point you to a different channel.
- You want to rank number 1 in four weeks. Visibility grows like compound interest, not overnight.
- You're looking for the cheapest agency. Then an off-the-shelf SEO package will serve you better.
Questions about Shopware SEO
What does a Shopware SEO agency do?
It makes sure your Shopware shop gets found on Google and in AI answers. And that this turns into orders.
To do that, we make the changes ourselves, directly in your shop: technical work, copy and links. You don’t have to hand anything over to a developer.
What does Shopware SEO cover?
Three things: technical work, content and endorsements from other sites.
Technical work means filters, variants, load time and product data that Google and AI can read cleanly. Content means category and product copy, including in Shopping Experiences. Endorsements are backlinks and mentions in comparisons.
GEO for ChatGPT & co. is included. SEO and GEO overlap by around 80%. Without SEO, there is no GEO.
How do filters and variants in Shopware affect SEO?
Badly, without clear rules. Every combination of colour, size and brand can become its own page, and Google spreads its time across lots of almost identical pages.
So only filter pages that people actually search for go into the index. For example “women’s running shoes”, but not “women’s running shoes blue size 5”. With variants, one page counts and the others point to it.
We decide which pages those are based on your shop’s search data.
Are Shopping Experiences in Shopware bad for SEO?
Not if there is text in them. Many Shopping Experiences are made of large images, sliders and very few words. For Google and ChatGPT, a page like that is almost empty.
We add category copy for searches with buying intent and make heavy images faster. Without wrecking your design.
Will moving to Shopware 6 cost me rankings?
Not if every old URL redirects to the matching new one.
Every URL is like a home address. Move house without forwarding your post, and nobody finds you any more. That is exactly how rankings usually get lost in a migration: the URLs change and the redirects are missing.
What to watch out for is in our guide Website Relaunch.
Does ChatGPT recommend my shop too?
It can. Ask ChatGPT where to buy something and it names specific shops. Nobody can guarantee that spot, but you can influence it.
ChatGPT mostly names shops with clear product copy, clean data on price, availability and reviews, and mentions in comparisons.
We check which shops ChatGPT recommends for your products today. Then we measure every month how often yours gets named, compared with your competitors.
How much does SEO cost for a Shopware shop?
It depends on your range, your technical setup and your competition. Below €1,500 a month, ongoing SEO management rarely pays off.
We don’t bill by the hour. In the free audit we work out what your shop needs. More in our guide What Does SEO Really Cost?
How long until Shopware SEO brings in more revenue?
Usually a few months. Fixing technical errors often works faster than new copy. That is why we work together for at least six months.
SEO is like a snowball: it grows slowly at first, then faster and faster. That is why many of our clients have been with us for years.
How do I spot a good Shopware SEO agency?
It measures its work by orders and revenue. Not by clicks.
Ask every agency two things: Which numbers do I see every month? And where do my orders come from?
With us, your dashboard shows every order and where it came from: Google, ChatGPT & co. And we do the work ourselves instead of just advising.
How does working with Northstar Media start?
With the free SEO & GEO audit, online, around 45 minutes.
We check your categories, filters and product pages. And we look at which shops ChatGPT recommends for your products.
Then we tell you honestly whether SEO will pay off for your shop. We are based in Vienna and work online, across Austria and Germany.
